By removing the need for user accounts, cloud syncing databases, and behavioral tracking pipelines, we guarantee that your focus sessions, habit streaks, and personal time data belong exclusively to you.

1. Offline-First Architecture & Zero Account Required

PomoDog operates on a strict local-first paradigm. You do not need to register, configure an account, or authenticate with third parties to unlock the full power of the application.

No Account Creation

You do not need to create an account, log in with social networks, or provide an email address to use any features in PomoDog.

100% Local Storage

All your Pomodoro timers, daily/monthly focus statistics, streaks, unlocked companion dogs, and custom sound/theme preferences are stored locally in your device's isolated internal storage sandbox.

Zero Remote User Databases

We do not operate proprietary cloud databases to track, profile, harvest, or monetize your personal identity.

2. Permissions Requested & Purpose

Every operating system permission requested by PomoDog is strictly limited to essential functionality and user experience enhancements. We adhere to the principle of least privilege:

Notifications POST_NOTIFICATIONS

Used solely to deliver focus timer alerts, interval transitions, and break alarms when the screen is locked or the app is in the background.

Foreground Service FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK

Used strictly to maintain the continuous audio playback of relaxing ambient soundscapes and keep the timer running seamlessly.

Haptics VIBRATE

Used to deliver tactile feedback during button presses and timer milestones.

Internet Access INTERNET

Used strictly for:

  • • Processing secure in-app purchases via Google Play Billing v7.
  • • Delivering ads to Free Plan users via Google AdMob and UMP.
  • • Delivering anonymous diagnostics via Firebase Crashlytics.
Zero Storage Permissions PRIVACY PICKER

Custom pet photos utilize the native Android Photo Picker system, with zero access to your full gallery storage.

3. Third-Party Services & Advertising (Google AdMob / UMP)

For users on the free tier of PomoDog, advertising supports continuous development while maintaining rigorous data privacy standards:

6. Children’s Privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)

By upholding an offline-first architecture with zero account registration, the application inherently safeguards younger audiences by not collecting, profiling, or disclosing personal information.

Complete data sovereignty remains in your hands at all times through native on-device controls:

Because we do not store records in the cloud, you are responsible for maintaining your device's native backup.

Hardware Sanity

Uninstalling

Uninstalling PomoDog permanently wipes all local data from your physical device.
